Opportunities of higher education
It all started in Bologna in 1999 where 30 ministers in charge of higher education signed a declaration in which they affirmed: 1. adopting a system of easily comparable and reasonable degrees 2. establishing a system of credits called ECTS (European Credit Transfer System) 3. promoting mobility of students 4. promoting European co-operation in quality assurance 5. adopting a system of two main cycles (graduate/undergraduate)
