Krakow is more focused on business tourists
Strategy | 5,000 events and meetings were held in 2016 and the city authorities want even more.
Last year, the number of business meetings in Krakow increased by 33% compared to 2014. What is important, the number of participants of international events increased too. In 2016 there were 296,540 of them whilst a year earlier 286,270. According to experts, assuming that business tourism generates revenues of about PLN 2 thousand per person, we get an estimated amount of PLN 1.3, which landed in the pocket of Krakow's companies providing services for the meetings industry.
