City’s advancement in a prestigious ranking
Economy | Krakow ranked eighth among the best cities for international services in the prestigious Tholons Services Globalization City Index, which means one position higher than in the last edition of the ranking.
The winner was the Indian city of Bangalore, followed by Mumbai, Delhi, Manila, Hyderabad and Sao Paulo. Warsaw ranked 23rd, Prague 17th.
According to the authors of the Tholons Services Globalization City Index report, digitalization is now the key element in global changes and transformation of industries. In countries that are leaders in terms of globalisation of services, such as India, the Philippines and Eastern Europe, most services will be commercialised. Digital expansion of companies and their customers demanding new services such as mobility, analytics and cyber security cannot be achieved using the traditional business model.
